Behrouz Houshmandi is an accomplished engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Real-Time at Treasure Data since 2025. Previously, they held the position of Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft from 2021 to 2024. Behrouz's early career included roles as a Framework Developer at FDM Software and a Software Developer at CSDC Systems Inc. They also gained experience as a Software Development Engineer and Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services between 2016 and 2018, and as a Developer/Application Architect at Best Buy Canada from 2011 to 2014. Behrouz is pursuing further education with a Master's in Architecture from IDesign Inc. and a B.Sc. in Computer Hardware Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology.
