Jo Withford is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia, currently serving as a Senior Manager at Transport for NSW. With 28 years of experience, Jo has managed various infrastructure projects, including the rehabilitation of Elderslie Bridge and disaster recovery initiatives. Jo actively advocates for women in engineering as a representative on the World Federation of Engineering Organisations’ Women in Engineering Committee and through involvement in Engineers Australia and HunterWiSE. Recognized for outstanding contributions to the field, Jo has received multiple awards, including the Engineers Australia Meritorious Medal in 2022 and being named one of the Top 100 Women in Construction in 2020. Jo holds degrees from UNSW and the University of Sydney, along with various certifications in transport management and leadership.
