Alex de Bruin is a PhD-trained immunologist with over 20 years of experience in translating discovery science into successful vaccine development. Currently serving as the Head of Vaccine Collaborations at Touchlight, Alex leads external collaborations and oversees the planning of studies for the dbDNA vaccine platform. Previously, Alex held positions as a Senior Pre-Clinical Immunologist at Touchlight and a Senior Group Leader at Dynex Technologies, Inc., where they managed cross-functional projects and teams. They completed their PhD in Experimental Immunology at Universiteit van Amsterdam and hold a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Universiteit Utrecht.
