Markus Silventoinen is an accomplished mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in technical sales support, product management, and R&D activities, particularly in the field of rotating electrical machines. Currently serving as Manager of Mechanical Engineering and Product Manager for Solid-Rotor Machines at The Switch since October 2018, Markus is responsible for managing and developing the Solid-Rotor machine portfolio and leading R&D efforts. Prior engagement includes serving as a Mechanical Engineer at Aurelia Turbines, focusing on the design and development of small-scale gas turbines, and holding various engineering roles at The Switch from April 2008 to April 2016, including Senior Development Engineer and Technical Account Manager. Markus started a career as a Roller Mechanic at UPM Kymmene Oyj and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Technology from South Carelia Polytechnic, supplemented by an exchange program at Arkansas State University.
