Oliver Raschdorf is currently the Sr. Manager of Electron Microscopy Application Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific, leading a global team focused on life sciences electron microscopy. They previously worked as an Application Scientist and then as a Sr. Application Scientist, supporting customers with advanced electron microscopy workflows. Oliver gained valuable research experience as a PhD candidate at both the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they studied magnetosome bioformation and utilized techniques such as transmission electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography. Additionally, Oliver holds a Diplom in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München and has furthered their education in biosciences at The University of Sheffield.
