Liz Gershoff currently serves as the Director of the Population Research Center at The University of Texas at Austin, where Liz has held various academic titles since September 2009, including Amy Johnson McLaughlin Centennial Professor and Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences. Prior to this, Liz Gershoff was an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and held positions at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health as a Research Associate. Liz Gershoff began her academic career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Arizona State University. Liz Gershoff earned a Ph.D. in Child Development and Family Relationships from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from the University of Virginia.
