Dr. David Williams is an Emeritus Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at The University of Queensland, where they have served since 1983. They held significant roles as the inaugural Director of both the Geotechnical Engineering Centre and the Golder Geomechanics Centre. Additionally, Dr. Williams is an Expert Tailings Consultant, providing high-level reviews and serving on Independent Tailings Review Boards. Their education includes a high school certificate in Science/Maths from Blackburn High School in Melbourne.
