Eliot Nagele currently serves as the NJ Director of Lands at The Nature Conservancy, a position held since October 2023. Previously, Eliot was the Director of the Thain Family Forest at the New York Botanical Garden from January 2021 to October 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Pathways Forester (Silviculture) with the USDA Forest Service in mid-2020, Green Infrastructure Grant Program Manager at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection from June 2017 to August 2019, and Unit Administrator at Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program from 2014 to 2017. Eliot also worked as a Research Fellow for the Healthy Trees Healthy Cities project with the USDA Forest Service in the summer of 2015. Academic qualifications include a Master of Forestry from the Yale School of the Environment (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Design from Rutgers University (2011-2016).
