Dr. David Watson currently serves as the Head of School at The International School of Texas, a position held since July 2025. Previously, Dr. Watson held the role of Head of School at the Community School of Naples from February 2013 to July 2025, and served as Executive Principal/Director at a locally-owned group of international schools from 2010 to 2012. Additional experience includes Interim Head of School at the International School of Boston (2009-2010) and Head of School at The Awty International School from 2000 to 2009. Dr. Watson began a career in education as Principal at Garden International School (1998-2000) and Superintendent at ABA Oman International School (1990-1998). Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in French and Politics and a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Bristol, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in French Language and Literature from Bangor University, a Licence ès Lettres in English Literature from Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, and a Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature from the University of Zagreb.
