Christopher Cutler is the Founder and President of The Heather Cutler Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on addressing barriers in pancreatic cancer care and policy in Canada. The Foundation’s work centers on improving health equity and drawing attention to systemic gaps affecting Canadians living with pancreatic cancer.
The organizationhas launched several national initiatives, including Canada’s first parliamentary petition focused on pancreatic cancer, the Pancreatic Cancer Policy Builders of Tomorrow program developed alongside students from Memorial University, and the upcoming National Pancreatic Cancer Audit, a publication assessing pancreatic cancer care systems, policy frameworks, and equity challenges in Canada, also developed alongside students from Memorial University.
Cutler also leads the #WeAreCanadaToo campaign, which highlights the specific barriers faced by Atlantic Canadians, including limited access to molecular profiling, clinical trials, and treatment options concentrated in larger urban centres.
He has a background in international language and cultural studies, having studied Japanese at Hiroo Japanese Language Centre in Tokyo, completed Chinese Language Studies at National Central University (NCU) in Taiwan, and is currently pursuing a degree in Asian Studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) in Canada.
