Joel Piels is a Georgetown University student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science Ethics and Society, expected to graduate in 2027. Currently, Joel serves as the Global University Expansion Lead at The AI Collective, building a network of over 100,000 members across various university chapters. Previously, Joel has held positions as a Treasurer and Project Manager at TAMID Group, a Data Privacy Intern at Click Therapeutics, and a Founder and Director of the Georgetown Research Chapter. Passionate about privacy and the future of AI, Joel has contributed to the development of AI governance frameworks and led initiatives to advance youth-led tech policy.
