Established in 1964, AYSO is a national non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Six Philosophies: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.  

Today, AYSO has 40,000 teams and more than 300,000 players. It also employs 23 people at the AYSO Office in Torrance, California to help support the volunteers that run programs in their local communities.

The Coaching and Refereeing Team at AYSO is responsible for developing, training, and managing volunteer coaches and referees to ensure the successful implementation of AYSO's youth soccer programs. This team oversees instructional clinics, certifications, and on-field assessments to uphold the organization's philosophies of positive coaching, good sportsmanship, and player development. They also provide continuous support and resources to local regions, ensuring balanced and fair play across all levels of competition.

Coaching and Refereeing Team

The Regional Management Team at AYSO is responsible for overseeing the implementation and supervision of youth soccer programs within their respective regions. This includes ensuring adherence to AYSO's Six Philosophies, coordinating with local volunteers, organizing regional events and tournaments, managing budgets, and promoting the program within the community to foster participation and support. The team’s collaborative efforts help sustain a positive, fun, and developmental environment for all players.
