Benton Pahlka is a Diagnostic Medical Physicist at Texas Children's Hospital, where they have been contributing since 2017. Previously, Benton served as a Medical Physics Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center and worked as a Research Associate at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, focusing on neutrino physics and data analysis. Benton holds a PhD in particle/nuclear physics from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in Medical Physics from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, along with degrees in Mathematics and Physics from the same institution. Prior to their career in medical physics, Benton gained experience as a machinist at Aerotech Precision Manufacturing.
