Joseph Milano MS, DABT serves as the Head of Toxicology at Tessera Therapeutics since January 2023, building upon extensive experience in the field of toxicology. Previously, Joseph was Associate Scientific Director at Moderna, where contributions included overseeing toxicology studies and regulatory interactions for mRNA vaccine development. Prior roles at Shire Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi, and AstraZeneca involved management of preclinical operations and the execution of complex toxicogenomics studies. Joseph also had experience as an Independent Toxicology Consultant and a Staff Scientist at DuPont, alongside foundational research roles at National Jewish Medical and Research Center and Thomas Jefferson University. Joseph holds an MS in Biomedical Chemistry from Jefferson Health and a BS in Biology from Temple University.
