Ben Harstad is a Senior Manager of Mechanical Design Engineering at Tesla, where they lead a team of Mechanical Design Engineers and Technical Program Managers in delivering High Voltage Battery programs for popular models including the Model S, X, 3, Y, and the CyberTruck. Previously, Ben served in various roles within Tesla's Battery Engineering department, honing expertise in structural design and team management. Prior to their tenure at Tesla, they gained experience as a Lead Systems/Process Development Engineer at SpaceX, where they managed the development of critical software systems. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California and a certificate in Business Management and Operations from the University of Colorado Boulder.
