Sebastian Pretzer has a strong background in machine learning and data engineering, most recently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Tempus AI from 2021 to 2025. Prior to that, they held various roles at Tempus AI, including Senior Machine Learning Scientist positions focused on both NLP and Imaging. They also worked as a Senior Data Engineer at xilis from 2022 to 2025 and were Vice President of Research and Development at Backlight LLC from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, Sebastian gained research experience as a Teaching Assistant and WebSAIL Research Assistant at Northwestern University, where they are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science.
