David Vidmar is an experienced machine learning scientist currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Tempus AI, where responsibilities have included progression from Machine Learning Scientist to Senior Machine Learning Scientist since August 2020. Prior to this role, David led a team of data scientists at 4th-IR from May 2018 to August 2020, focusing on developing ML and AI tools for various industries. Academic contributions include research in theoretical-computational biophysics at the University of California, San Diego, resulting in two patents, and teaching in the physics department. David holds a PhD in Physics from UC San Diego and a BSc in Physics from Penn State University.
