UDAYABHASKAR GULLAPALLI is an accomplished environmental professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Sr. Vice President Environment at Reliance Industries Limited and Chief Environment at Tata Steel since September 2012, UDAYABHASKAR has a strong background in environmental management, compliance, and sustainability. Previous positions include Vice President-EHS at Welspun Energy Limited and Head of Environment & Social Management Unit at India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited, responsible for overseeing environmental and social management for significant financing projects. UDAYABHASKAR has also held key roles at Essar, the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Central Power Research Institute, and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., with notable expertise in environmental assessments, pollution control, and regulatory compliance. Educational qualifications include an M.Tech in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a diploma in EIA from the University of Bradford.
