Sampad Jana is a highly experienced researcher with a strong background in organic chemistry and drug discovery. Currently serving as a Senior Research Investigator at Syngene International Limited since October 2024, Sampad previously held roles as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at TCG Lifesciences Pvt Ltd. and a Senior Scientist at Sygnature Discovery. Sampad's expertise includes synthesizing biologically active compounds, analyzing complex data sets to develop structure-activity relationships, and leading multiple projects resulting in numerous publications. An academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from KU Leuven and a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Sampad has demonstrated exceptional skills in the synthesis of novel compounds for therapeutic studies, including in tuberculosis, cancer, and antiviral research.
