Alex Kan has extensive experience in the actuarial field, currently serving as AVP & Senior Actuarial Analyst in Actuarial Operations & Solutions at Swiss Re since September 2022. Prior to this role, Alex held multiple positions at Canada Life Reinsurance, including Actuarial Associate with a focus on Reinsurance Pricing and Financial Management from December 2016 to August 2022. Alex's earlier career includes actuarial co-op placements at Desjardins Groupe d'assurances générales and Manulife Financial, as well as internships at AIG Malaysia, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad, and Malaysian Reinsurance Berhad. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science with a Finance Option and Statistics from the University of Waterloo, completed in 2016.
