Chris Hamel is an experienced Plant Operations Lead and First Class Power Engineer currently serving as the Chief Power Engineer at Suncor Fort Hills. With a strong background in Production Operations Management and a focus on operational excellence, Chris has held various roles at Suncor, including Integrated Operations Lead and Shift Supervisor. Prior to Suncor, Chris worked at Shell and Syncrude Canada Ltd., where responsibilities included overseeing utilities operations and supporting commissioning activities. Chris studied at Keyano College from 1996 to 1998.
