Tyler Lung currently serves as the Senior Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer at Stratolaunch since July 2023. Prior to this role, Tyler held engineering positions at Raytheon from August 2015 to June 2023 and worked as a PhD candidate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan from September 2011 to August 2015, focusing on numerical methods for hyperbolic conservation laws and computational fluid dynamics. Additional experiences include a visiting student position at the University of Cambridge, summer fellowships at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and internships at ThermoAnalytics, Inc., GE Aviation, and General Motors. Tyler Lung earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, a Graduate Certificate in Computational Discovery and Engineering, and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
