Oliver Gnad is the co-founder and managing director of the Bureau fuer Zeitgeschehen, a role they have held since 2016. They are also a Senior Visiting Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and an adjunct faculty member at the Hertie School in Berlin. Gnad's previous experience includes positions as a Senior Advisor for Business Development at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and as an Assistant to the Chair for Contemporary History at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. They earned a Doctoral Degree in Medieval and Contemporary History from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, completing their studies in 1996.
