Rob Macdonald is the Lead Field Applications Engineer at Sterlite Technologies Limited, where they provide technical support and training for fibre within the telecoms market, focusing on cost-effective solutions for fibre network development. Prior to this role, Rob held positions including Technical Solutions Manager at Emtelle and Technical Delivery Manager at gabocom Ltd., where they supported customers with technical and training needs. Their experience in telecommunications began as a Radio Telegraphist with The Royal Corps of Signals, and they have also worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at BT Wholesale and in various supervisory and managerial roles within the industry. Rob is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Telecommunications Engineering at Canterbury Christ Church University.
