Catherine Smith is an experienced leader currently serving as the Legal Counsel and Company Secretary at StepChange Debt Charity. Previously, Catherine held various positions related to governance and project management at Leeds Beckett University, including Planning & Projects Manager and Governance Co-ordinator. From 2019 to 2020, Catherine worked as the Governance, Compliance & Risk Manager at Leeds Hospitals Charity. Catherine also served as a Trustee at Brownberrie Lane Pre-school from 2013 to 2016. Catherine holds an MSc in Corporate Governance, awarded with distinction, from Leeds Beckett University.
