Hussein D. Kanji is a Clinical Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine at The University of British Columbia, where they focus on advancing educational practices within the field. Currently, they serve as Senior Medical Director for Health Emergency Management BC and Provincial Medical Director for Critical Care Medicine BC. With extensive experience as an Attending Physician and Medical Director, Hussein has contributed significantly to critical care protocols and the leadership of various health organizations. They have also held leadership roles in the BC Critical Care Services Executive Committee and the British Columbia Society of Critical Care Medicine. Hussein holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Calgary and a Master of Public Health from the University of Alberta.
