George Hegmann is a Vice President of Environmental Services Canada at Stantec and a Senior Environmental Assessment Practitioner. They currently serve as the Geographic Technical Lead for Canada, overseeing environmental assessment technical practices nationwide. With over 25 years of experience in environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and cumulative effects assessments (CEAs), they have worked extensively on energy projects across western and northern Canada. Hegmann holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Carleton University, a Certificate in Environmental Assessment from Waterloo/Lakehead Universities, and a Master's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Calgary.
