Michael Giarlo is a Digital Library Software Engineer and Architect with a focus on library technology research and development. They have held positions at prestigious institutions including Rutgers University Libraries, the University of Washington Libraries, and Stanford University, where they are currently a Digital Library Technology Strategist. Michael's experience includes roles such as Digital Library Architect at Penn State University and Information Technology Specialist at the Library of Congress, where they contributed to the development of innovative library systems. They hold a Professional M.A. in Computational Linguistics from the University of Washington and a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University.
