Sandya Abrar is an experienced professional in the energy sector with a focus on sustainable technologies and asset management. Currently serving as Asset Manager for District Heating at SSE Energy Solutions since September 2019, Sandya previously held roles such as Policy Officer for the European Commission, contributing to the SET Plan for low-carbon technologies, and Advisor for Power Generation at EURELECTRIC. Sandya's career began as a Graduate Engineer at SSE plc after obtaining a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from The University of Edinburgh.
