Jukka-Pekka Mäkinen is an advisor and board professional with extensive experience in power electronics and variable speed motor and generator drives. They began their career with ABB, where they held managerial positions across Finland, Switzerland, and the USA for 12 years. After a brief period in the electrical wholesale industry, Mäkinen served as Vice President at Vacon for seven years before becoming the founding CEO of The Switch, successfully leading it to a €100 million size before its sale to Yaskawa in 2014. Currently, Mäkinen is the Chairman of the Board at WE Tech Solutions Oy and a Business Advisor at SpinDrive, among other roles.
