Lauren Goldberg, Ph.D., is the Head of Middle School at The Spence School. With over 30 years of experience in education, they have worked extensively in classroom instruction, curriculum design, teacher training, and administration across various educational settings from pre-K to graduate school. Previously, Lauren held leadership roles, including Middle School Director at Dana Hall School and Director of Teacher Training at Belmont Day School. They have a strong background in developmental and cognitive psychology, having earned a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Lesley University. Their professional interests include child and adolescent development, gender equity, and teacher preparation.
