Piotr Srebrny has a diverse work experience in software engineering and research. Piotr currently works as a Software Engineer at Sonatus since February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at The Qt Company from April 2021 to December 2022, where they focused on developing Qt Multimedia middleware framework. Before that, Piotr worked at Crayon as a Hardware/Software Design Engineer from May 2019 to March 2021, where they designed and delivered an IoT system for monitoring moisture in buildings after water damage. Piotr also has experience as a Senior Software Security Engineer at Conax from January 2017 to May 2019, where they led the development and maintenance of a software development kit (SDK) for strengthening set-top-box security. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at Nevion from September 2013 to December 2016. Piotr also has research experience, having worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oslo from August 2011 to April 2013, where they implemented and tested CacheCast and taught as a teacher assistant. Prior to that, they were a PhD Researcher at the University of Oslo from January 2007 to January 2011, focusing on content distribution networks and inventing the CacheCast system.
Piotr Srebrny completed their undergraduate studies at AGH University of Krakow from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunication. Piotr further pursued their education at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2007 to 2011, specializing in Content Distribution Networks, and earned a PhD degree in the same field.
