Shawn Dougherty has extensive experience in the tech industry. Shawn began their career in 1993 as a Purchasing Agent at Stryker. Shawn then moved to Software Logistics as a Purchasing Manager in 1996, where they managed the sourcing activities and pack-out for the Apple licensed Motorola StarMax 3000 PC. In 1998, Dougherty became the Director of Engineering at Adst Inc. Shawn then moved to Directed in 2001 as a Senior Product Development Manager, where they managed the Audio and Rear Seat Entertainment product categories. Dougherty then joined mophie in 2005 as Co-Founder, COO, President, and Board Member, where they were credited with conceptualizing, co-creating and launching the first "Made for iPhone" certified mophie juice pack battery case. In 2018, they joined Titan Health & Security Technologies, Inc. as a Member of the Board of Directors. Dougherty then founded EXOIO in 2017, a hands-on venture studio and park that provides consumer brands with expertise, resources and access to a curated network of industry professionals. In 2020, they co-founded Society Brands, a tech enabled consumer products company. Shawn is currently the Founder of Volonic, a company that is redefining luxury lifestyle by fusing art and technology.
Shawn Dougherty attended Kalamazoo Central High School from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a High School Diploma. Shawn then attended Michigan State University from 1992 to 1993, studying International Business. Finally, they attended University of Phoenix from 1998 to 2002, studying Project Management.
