Jorge G. Lopez, PhD, is a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer at SmithRx, with a background in developing advanced machine learning and MLOps solutions. Previously, they held roles as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at CarMax and a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at CoStar Group, where they designed and implemented innovative systems for real estate applications. They began their career with software engineering internships at SAP, Next Limit Technologies, and Indra. Jorge has also shared their expertise as a guest lecturer at MBIT School, focusing on Apache Spark and machine learning topics. Currently, they are pursuing multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Universidad de Córdoba and Virginia Commonwealth University.
