Joseph Distefano is a versatile and results-driven AI and software engineer with a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Currently serving as a Computer Vision and Robotics Engineer at Skyways, Joseph specializes in machine learning, computer vision, and robotics, among other areas. Previously, they were a Software Engineer at Squire Solutions, where they designed advanced Unmanned Aircraft Systems and developed machine learning models for Natural Language Processing. Joseph also gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo and an Undergraduate Research Member in the Human in the Loop Systems Laboratory.
