David Sutphen is a multidimensional leader currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Government Affairs and Philanthropy at Sixth Street. David co-founded Jasper Advisors, a consulting firm focused on reputation and strategy, and previously held the position of Chief Strategy & Engagement Officer at 2U. Sutphen's extensive experience includes roles as Chief of Staff to Congressman Harold Ford Jr. and General Counsel for Senator Edward M. Kennedy, in addition to senior positions in the media and entertainment industry. An honors graduate from Amherst College and a law degree holder from the University of Michigan, Sutphen has dedicated much of their career to advancing equity and opportunity across various sectors.
