Anika Hermann Bargfrede is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in corporate law and securities transactions. Currently an Associate at Sidley Austin LLP since June 2019, Anika represents buyers and sellers in a range of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions across various industries, managing extensive responsibilities including drafting transaction agreements, due diligence, and SEC filing coordination. Prior to this role, Anika served as Assistant Corporate Secretary & Senior Counsel at The Kraft Heinz Company, advising on SEC disclosure requirements and corporate governance matters, and held several other positions at Sidley Austin LLP and the International Center for Advocates Against Discrimination. Anika earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
