Sophie Wakelin is a highly accomplished energy executive with over 20 years of international leadership experience in the oil and gas sector. From 2006 to 2010, they served as the Sustainable Development Lead at Royal Dutch Shell, where they managed the annual Sustainability Report and supported a global HSSE reorganization. Between 2020 and 2022, they were the Global LNG Integration Lead at Shell, directing the integration of a $9 billion LNG business across 11 countries and executing strategic organizational redesigns. Sophie's background also includes roles as General Manager for Southern North Sea Assets and Safety & Environment Manager in Nigeria, where they successfully enhanced asset reliability and transformed safety culture. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Exeter.
