Arul Gupta is a Senior Engineer in Autonomy at Serve Robotics since August 2025, following a role as a Founding Engineer at Vayu Robotics, which was acquired by Serve Robotics in 2025. Arul has experience in developing innovative autonomy solutions utilizing low-cost biomimetic sensing and scalable machine learning. Previous roles include a Software Development Engineer Intern position at Amazon, where Arul contributed to a global server health metric-testing service, and a Computer Vision Software Engineer position at Dori AI, which involved developing object tracking pipelines and video editing techniques. As the Founder of Ridge Robotics, Arul designed algorithms that earned recognition at a state championship. Additionally, as Co-founder and CTO of TeraThought, Arul was responsible for app technology and architecture. Arul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
