Susan van Schalkwyk is a London-based museum professional and ACA-qualified finance expert with extensive experience in communications, collections management, and project management. Currently, they serve as the Chair of the Finance and Risk Subcommittee at OPEN SCHOOL EAST and hold the position of Group Reporting Manager at Serco. Previously, they worked as a Museums and Heritage Professional for various organizations in London and Southeast England, and served as an Audit Principal at the UK National Audit Office. Susan is also an active member of the Museums Association and has contributed to the London Museums Group and the Heritage Advisory Board of the RNLI. They are pursuing degrees in Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic at the University of Cambridge, Classics at Bowdoin College, and an MRes in Museum Cultures at Birkbeck, University of London.
