Jonathan Duersch is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as Associate Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since May 2004. In this role, Jonathan advises the Chief Accountant and senior members on various accounting matters. Prior to this position, Jonathan worked as Manager of Assurance Services at Tanner LC, where responsibilities included managing and performing audits for public, private, and non-profit organizations. Jonathan’s career began at Peterson Allred Jackson CPA's as a Staff Accountant, conducting audits primarily for local government and non-profit entities. Jonathan holds a Master's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Accounting, both from Utah State University.
