Dominique Hoover began their work experience in 2010 as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Oceanography, a role they held until 2014. Following this, they became self-employed as an Independent Researcher in 2014. In 2018, Dominique founded their own business, Dominique's Tiny Treats, where they served as the Founder and Baker. In 2019, Dominique joined Scribble Data as a Business Developer, and later transitioned to the role of Business Operations Manager. They also have experience working as a freelance AutoCAD and SketchUp Designer since 2011.

Dominique Hoover earned a Master's degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography from Annamalai University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained a certification in AutoCAD from Internshala in February 2021.
