Sanele Msibi is a skilled chemical engineer with extensive experience in research and development, analytical testing, and process control. Currently serving as Scientist 1 / Engineer 1 at Sappi since January 2017, Sanele designs and executes research projects while also delivering analytical support through intermediate data analysis. Previous roles include Research Technologist and Technician In Training at Sappi, where responsibilities involved operating sugar plants and conducting Hazard & Operability studies. Prior experience includes being a Laboratory Demonstrator at Mangosuthu University of Technology, providing practical demonstrations and tutoring students in chemical engineering principles. Sanele’s career began at Gold Reef Specialty Chemicals as a Process Controller. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Durban University of Technology, along with a BTech and National Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Mangosuthu University of Technology and Mangosuthu Technikon, respectively.
