Pieter-Jan D'Huys is currently the Director of Manufacturing Operations at Sanofi, where they lead a cross-functional operational team focused on the production of recombinant therapeutic proteins. Previously, they served as the Head of MSAT Upstream- Cell Culture & Microbiology at Sanofi, overseeing technology transfer and process validation. With a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, they also held the position of Docent and head of the research group Lab4U at UC Leuven-Limburg from 2011 to 2015. Their extensive expertise includes tech transfer, process performance qualification, and compliance with global regulatory standards.
