Rick Lazansky is a seasoned investment professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the semiconductor and technology sectors. As the Chief Investment Officer and Founder of Silicon Catalyst since May 2014, Rick focuses on incubating and accelerating semiconductor startups at a time when venture capital interest has shifted. Currently a Partner at True Global Ventures 4 Plus, Rick contributes to investments in notable unicorns like Animoca Brands and The Sandbox. Additional roles include serving as an Advisor at Nudge for Change, a Board Member at Barcelona Ventures, and a member of Sand Hill Angels, where Rick has also held leadership positions. Rick's past experiences include a prominent role as VP of R&D at Xpedion Design Systems and founding Denali Software, highlighting a strong background in research, development, and strategic guidance in the tech industry. Rick holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
