Carisa Kluver has extensive experience in education, health, and community service. Currently serving as Personnel Commissioner at San Luis Obispo County Office of Education since December 2024 and as School Library Media Specialist at San Luis Coastal Unified School District since August 2021, Carisa also coordinates student internships for Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County. Additionally, Carisa trains educators in comprehensive sexuality education with the Unitarian Universalist Association, and previously contributed as an editor and co-founder of digital media and children's book review platforms. Academic qualifications include a BA in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington, complemented by a background in public health and teen pregnancy prevention initiatives.
