Ulliyada Bopanna currently serves as the Vice President of Design & Innovation at Samsonite North America, where responsibilities include overseeing design, development, and innovation across various product categories. Previously, Ulliyada has held roles such as Head of Design & Creative Director for the Samsonite brand portfolio and Senior Director of Design & Creative for High Sierra. In addition to corporate experience, Ulliyada has operated Bopanna Design since 2005, providing creative direction and product management services to notable clients. Academic contributions include serving as an adjunct professor at the Academy of Art University, teaching advanced softgoods design. Earlier career highlights include co-founding Dualitas and significant design roles at Timbuk2 and Shook Design Group Inc. Ulliyada holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design from the Academy of Art University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
