Mik Stavig, CFA, currently serves as the Director of Investment and Hedging Strategy at Sammons Financial Group Companies, a position held since April 2021. In this role, Mik focuses on dynamic and static hedging, general account investment strategy, alternative investments, and product development. Prior to this, Mik worked as Derivative Analyst III at American Equity from October 2011 to April 2021, where responsibilities included managing the company's derivatives portfolio and conducting asset/liability analysis of index annuity liabilities. Mik holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of South Dakota.
