Michael Balagur is a building decarbonization strategist and sustainable design professional currently serving as the Associate Vice President and Sustainability Department Manager at Salas O'Brien, where they focus on resilient design and strategic decarbonization for various building types. Michael is also the Sustainability Department Manager at EME Consulting Engineering Group, which was acquired by Salas O'Brien in 2023. They are pursuing an A.B. in Social Studies, cum laude, and an M.Arch. in Architecture with a Fellowship for Excellence in Urban Planning at Harvard University and Yale School of Architecture, respectively.
