Mark Worthington is a senior vice president at Salas O'Brien, where they lead the company's geothermal practice and advance open-loop geothermal technology for sustainable energy systems. With over three decades of experience in community-scale projects, Mark founded Underground Energy, LLC in 2009, after more than 20 years as a consulting hydrogeologist. They have overseen geothermal feasibility and ground heat exchanger design projects across North America and are recognized as an expert on campus-scale geothermal systems. Mark also served as an adjunct instructor at Massachusetts Maritime Academy and has held various leadership roles in hydrogeology and project management throughout their career.
